Dear Healthcare Center Residents, Family Members and Staff:
We have confirmed this morning that one staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Residents and staff members are in the process of being tested. The positive staff member is home under self-quarantine and is doing well. Unfortunately, with this new positive case, the clock starts again for no indoor visitation.
In accordance with CMS guidelines, when a new case of COVID-19 among residents and staff is identified, we are required to commence outbreak testing and will continue to suspend all indoor visitation until at least one round of facility-wide testing is completed. Visitation can resume based on the following criteria:
- If the first round of outbreak testing reveals no additional COVID -19 case in other areas of the Healthcare Center, then visitation can resume for residents in areas with no COVID-19 cases. However, the facility will suspend visitation on the affected nursing unit until the facility meets the criteria to discontinue outbreak testing.
- If the first round of outbreak testing reveals one or more additional COVID-19 cases in other areas of the Healthcare Center, (e.g., new cases in two or more units), then the facility will suspend visitations for all residents (vaccinated and unvaccinated), until the facility meets the criteria to discontinue outbreak testing.
In an effort to simplify and expedite the visitation process we have created the following link for you to sign up for visitation:https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4DA5AC2FA0FCC34-healthcare1 .
If you are unable to come to the community, virtual visits are available 7 days per week between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. A virtual visit can be scheduled by emailing Sam Goodman, Director of Life Enrichment, at email@example.com.
Please keep in mind even though a staff member, resident or you are vaccinated, you can still carry and pass on the virus to an unvaccinated staff member, resident, or visitor. All visitors must have a mask that covers both mouth and nose and may not remove it until they have left the premises.
We apologize for this continued closure; however, we are required to follow the above regulatory process.
