Dear Residents, Family Members and Staff:

The challenges of a highly contagious virus continue to impact residents at Beth Sholom. We have confirmed that in addition to the two Healthcare Center employees that tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, now two residents in our healthcare facility have tested positive. Fortunately, everyone involved was working and residing on the same Unit. If you have not been notified, you or your family member is not on the affected Unit.

We have instituted our quarantine practices for the impacted residents and have closed communal dining and small group activities.  In accordance with CMS guidelines we will be continuing our testing of residents and employees every seven days in the Healthcare Center.
We are working with the local health department to ensure we have all the support we need to address this risk.

There is a significant number of senior living communities in Henrico and throughout the state that are experiencing a second outbreak of Covid-19 positive residents and staff.  This is very alarming.

As the second wave of COVID grips the nation, we cannot stress enough the need for everyone to follow CDC approved safety practices. The risk of community spread invading our senior living centers is real, and no one wants to return to the difficult days we experienced early in this pandemic.

Please follow the CDC guidance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.

Have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving,
Morris S. Funk
President and Chief Executive Officer
