Dear Residents, Family Members and Staff:

Earlier today we became aware that one of our non-clinical staff members in the Healthcare Center has tested positive for COVID-19. We have implemented our contact tracing process and have already started to test those that came in direct contact with the employee. As per Health Department guidelines, we will also be testing all residents and staff in the healthcare facility within the next 48 hours.  The employee in question has been sent home to quarantine and we are committed to sharing the results of our testing as soon as they are available.

Given our new case, we will be required to conduct testing on all negative residents and staff members at least every 7 days. We can stop that testing once we have passed 14 days without a new positive test.   Please be reminded that if the Henrico Positivity Rate is between 5-10% we are still required to test staff weekly.

We apologize for the need to suspend visitation in the Healthcare Center until the first round of results are returned. We look forward to resuming family visits as soon as possible.

Please be safe and follow the CDC guidance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.

Thank you,
Morris S. Funk
President and Chief Executive Officer
