Dear Residents and Family Members:

Earlier today we were informed that one of our employees who works in Parkside Assisted Living has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is quarantined at home and we are in the process of conducting contact tracing as we speak. Once we have the full picture we will be reaching out to those residents who may have come in contact with that employee.  Any resident and staff testing necessary will be completed as soon as practicable. We would ask that everyone please pay close attention to any possible symptoms that include fever, coughing, loss of taste and smell, difficulty breathing or sore throat.

We have been in contact with the local health department and they have advised us to stop all outdoor visitation sessions to Parkside. This is the only immediate action we are taking but we may have to make other changes as we learn more about this specific case.

We will continue on our current path in our other facilities unless health department officials make additional recommendations.  We would ask everyone to please stay informed by checking our phone line (804) 421-5141 and website for updates, www.bethsholomliving.org . If you would like to receive updates by email, contact us at communications@bslcc.org and provide your name, the name of your loved one and the building where they reside.

Please be safe and follow the CDC guidance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.

Thank you,
Morris S. Funk
President and Chief Executive Officer
