Dear Residents and Family Members:

I am pleased to report that we remain COVID-free in all our facilities at Beth Sholom. The challenge is to keep it that way, given the news of the rise in cases in Virginia and across the country. We remain diligent in all our sanitation protocols to keep the virus out. As a reminder, one case and we must move back to the beginning of Phase I.

As I have previously mentioned, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) guidelines require nursing and assisted living facilities to conduct a series of successful Point Prevalence Surveys (PPS) before moving forward to the next phase. Our next PPS for all residents and staff will take place Tuesday, July 28. Comparatively, most nursing and assisted living facilities in Virginia remain in Phase I.  We are hopeful that we will progress to Phase II very soon which may allow us to conduct controlled outdoor visits with family members (we have visitation booths constructed and ready for this purpose) and begin socially distanced group activities. We will keep you up to date on these developments.

To stay informed, please continue to check our phone line (804) 421-5141 and website for updates, www.bethsholomliving.org . If you would like to receive updates by email, contact us
at communications@bslcc.org and provide your name, the name of your loved one and the building where they reside.

Please be safe follow the CDC guidance of wearing a mask, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.
