Dear Residents and Family Members:

Beth Sholom is now in day 7 of our Campus Wide Lockout to All Visitors.  Currently, we DO NOT have an active case of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

We continue to screen and monitor the temperature of all staff, private duty and hospice personnel as they enter the building.  As of today, we have not had anyone who presented with a fever or signs of illness.

Today, we learned that another local nursing home has a confirmed case of the COVID-19 virus.  We have confirmed that none of our staff members are employed at this new facility or the facility we previously noted.

Our residents are doing well, and as expected miss visits by family and friends.  Our dedicated and caring staff continues to provide wonderful care and has risen to the challenge under difficult circumstances.

We are participating in daily calls and webinars with the Health Department and Government Agencies.  This enables us to learn about the latest recommendations surrounding the management of the COVID-19 virus here in Virginia.

We continue to source Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), however supplies are extremely hard to find, and our normal supply chain has been severely interrupted and unable to be of help.

Please be safe and follow the CDC guidance of social distancing and frequent handwashing.

Thank you,
Morris S. Funk
President and Chief Executive Officer
